Overview

This article explains how to manually create products and product bundles within the online platform C-sar. This workflow is intended for users who do not use a shop integration and need to manage their roasted coffee inventory and SKUs manually.

Prerequisites

If you use a shop integration, follow the specific mapping guidelines instead of creating products manually:

• Shopify and WooCommerce
• ShipStation

Creating a product

In Cropster, a Product represents a specific type of roasted coffee (e.g., "The Fruity One"). Within a product, you can add multiple Variants based on weight and grind style.

Step 1: Add the product details

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar. 
2. Navigate to Commerce > Products.
3. Click +Add new product.
4. Enter the product information:
   • *Name
   • Cropster Product ID
   • Type:
     • Single-origin/Pre-roast blend
     • Post-roast blend
   • Profile group/Blend profile: This ensures the correct Profiles are scheduled when the product is ordered.
   • (Optional) Notes 
     

     

5. Click Create product.

Step 2: Define product variants

1. Click + Add product variants to define at least one product variant.
   

   

2. Enter the following information:
   ⚠️ Ensure that all data has been entered correctly. The variant details cannot be changed once they have been created.  
   
   • *Unit: If your unit is not available, contact our Customer Support Team and request the unit to be added. 
   • *Grind style: If the grind style you need is not listed, start typing and click +Create grind style to add.
   • *SKU
     

     

3. Click Create variant.
4. Repeat for all available bag sizes and grind styles.

Creating Product Bundles

Step 1: Add the Product bundle details

1. Navigate to Commerce > Products and click the Product bundles tab.
2. Click +Add product bundle.
3. Enter the following product bundle details:
   • *Name
   • *Cropster Product ID
   • (Optional) Notes
4. Click Create bundle.
   

   

Step 2: Add Product bundle variants
 

1. Click the Product name on the Product bundle overview page.
2. Click + Add bundle variants.
3. Select a *Product variant included in the bundle. The variant must already exist as a regular product.
4. Enter a unique *SKU for the bundle variant.
   ⚠️ Ensure that all data has been entered correctly. The bundle variant details cannot be changed once they have been created.  
5. Click Create bundle variant.
   
    

Managing inventory and variants

Adjusting stock levels
 

1. Navigate to Commerce > Products.
2. Click the Product name to open the Product details page.
3. Scroll to the Variants table.
4. Click Adjust stock next to the specific variant.
   

   

5. Enter the following:
   • *Minimum stock level
   • *Adjustment
   • *New stock
   • (Optional) Notes
6. Click Update Stock.
