This article explains how to customize roast labels in Roasting Intelligence.

What usually goes on a custom roast label?

Basic information	Coffee name, Roast date, Weight
Roast specific information	Batch number, Machine, Roast technician, Roast notes
Quality information	Profile, Roast values

Instructions

⚠️ If you haven't set up your label printer yet, we recommend checking out this article first.

Log in to Roasting Intelligence.
Navigate toPreferences > Roasting > Customize roast label section.
Select the following details in the Roast labels section:
- Template
  - Detailed (up to 12 slots)
  - Card (up to 5 slots)
- QR code placement
  - At the top
  - At the bottom
  - No QR code
- Base font size
- Field captions: Check the ‘Display caption above the information’ checkbox to show the label title.
- Date format
Navigate to the Instructions section.
Drag and drop the following information to the roast label template:
💡 Your layout will automatically adjust; any empty selections are skipped to save space.
- ID-Tag/Name
- Date
- Green lots (ID-Tag/Name)
- Machine
- Roast technician
- Profile
- Duration
- Weight (Start / End / Loss)
- Roast Value 1
- Roast value 1/2
- Roast notes
(Optional) Select Print Preview below to view your label and adjust your printer settings.
Click Save to finalize the changes.

💡 Good To Know:

Every label printer handles margins differently. It is a good idea to run a test print first to make sure everything lines up perfectly on your labels.

FAQs

To which page or resource does the QR code link?
The QR code links to the Roast details page on the online platform C-sar.

How can I remove information from the roast label template?

Click the X on the right to clear the information.
Click Save to finalize the changes.

In case you completely need to start over, simply click Reset to default at the bottom to restore the default roast label settings.
