Setup
Network connection setup
Via a network router: Connect the roaster to your network router using an Ethernet cable. The router will automatically assign an IP address to the machine. Ensure that your computer is connected to the same local network..webp)
Directly to the computer: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the roaster's Ethernet port and the other end to your computer's Ethernet port..webp)
Note: If the roaster is connected directly to the computer, you must configure a Static IP address.
Identifying the IP address
Once the Probat P III is connected to the network, an IP address will be assigned to it. You can locate this IP address on the roaster's display under Preferences > General.
Note: The IP address on your Probat may differ from the one shown in this screenshot:

Tip: Learn more about Roasting Intelligence Preferences and how to roast using the Controls and Replay Assist features. You can also set a roast with recorded Drum speed data as a Reference to replay your recorded Drum speed changes.
Troubleshooting
If RI displays No source connected or if measurements do not appear, verify the following:
- Is the IP address correct?
Caution when using Replay Assist:
Do not use the Probat Pilot roaster shop or any other temperature-controlling software simultaneously. Any manual changes to gas, airflow, or drum speed made from a concurrent client will disable Replay Assist for the remainder of the roast.
If you need further assistance setting up your roast machine, please submit a ticket to Cropster Support.
