Overview

This article explains how to edit a completed roast and update a roast curve. You can easily edit completed roasts within Roasting Intelligence or the online platform C-sar to maintain detailed and accurate records.

Editing a completed roast within Roasting Intelligence 

You can update the End weight, add Roast values 1 and 2, or add Notes directly in Roasting Intelligence after conducting a roast. 

Completed roasts can be edited from the Post-roast screen or from the Production overview tab. Clicking Save will sync your roast with the online platform C-sar, including all modifications.

Via the Post-roast screen

1. Log in to Roasting Intelligence.
2. Start roasting. 
3. Finish roasting. Stopping the roast will direct you to the Post-roast screen. 
4. You can modify the following details:
   • Duration
   • Start weight
   • End weight
   • Roast value(s)
   • Roast notes
     

     

5. Click Save.

Via the Production overview tab

1. Log in to Roasting Intelligence.
2. Start roasting. 
3. Finish roasting. Stopping the roast will direct you to the Post-roast screen. 
4. Click Save.
5. Navigate to the Production overview tab ("Today's production"). 
6. Select the batch you would like to edit by clicking the dots (...) >Edit roast or double-click the batch. 
   

   

7. You can modify the following details:
   
   • End Weight
   • Roast value(s)
   • Notes 
8. Click Save.

Editing a completed roast via the online platform C-sar
 

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar. 
3. Locate the PR tag for the roast you wish to modify.
4. Navigate to the right side of the page. Click the Quick edit button.
   

   

5. A new window will open to modify the following details:
   
   • Name
   • Profile
   • Roast technician
   • Roast value 1
   • Roast value 2
   • Green lot: To add or remove green lots, you need to visit the Edit page. 
   • Weight
   • End weight (roasted)
   • Roast notes 
6. Click Save.
   

   

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar.
3. Locate the PR tag for the roast you wish to edit.
4. Click the Quick edit button.
5. You can modify the following details:
    ⚠️ You cannot edit the green lot or weight of a roast once it has been used.
   
   • Green lot: You can only select green lots assigned to the same location as the roast and registered before the roast.
   • Weight
   • End weight (roasted)
6. Click Save.
   

   

   
    

Updating the roast curve

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Select Roasts on the main menu bar.
3. Click Add roast.
4. Navigate to the Roasting curve section and click Copy curve.
   

   

5. Select an existing roast curve to copy.
   

   

6. A copy of the selected roast curve will be generated.
7. The following actions are available:
   • Adjust the roasting curve: Click and drag the curve on the graph to adjust it.
     

     

   • Double-click on the graph to add a new comment.
   • Click on a comment to revise or delete it.
     
   • Edit the roast duration: To change the roast duration, adjust the start or end point on the timeline, or input the desired start and end times in the fields below.
     ⚠️ Editing the roast duration is irreversible; the removed roast period cannot be recovered after saving.
