Why use the Cropster Curve Designer?

With the Cropster Curve Designer, you can:

  • Create roasts from scratch.
  • Copy the roast curve of an already existing roast.
  • Make adjustments to your roasts according to the Roast Compare Report.
  • Import and customize a roast curve from another system.

Creating a roast online deducts the green weight from the Green Inventory.

You can select between the following three options:

A new feature allows importing roasts from other systems, like Artisan or Probat Pilot, directly into Cropster.

The importer is compatible with the following files:

  • .crc (Cropster)
  • .xml (Probat Pilot)
  • .json (Artisan)

Creating a curve

Click the Create Curve button to display a default graph at the bottom of the page.

You can see how each tool works by hovering over it.

    • To modify the curve, simply click and drag the data points using your mouse to reposition them as needed.
    • To modify the axes, click and drag a data point beyond the graph's edge; the axes will automatically recalibrate to the new position upon release.
    • To insert a new data point, simply double-click on the curve at the desired location.
    • To insert a comment, simply double-click on the specific point on the curve where you would like your comment to appear.
    • The comments box will appear, enabling you to select the event for your comment and enter notes, along with any adjustments to time or temperature.
    • To save your comment, click the Update comment button. If you wish to remove a comment, simply select the Delete comment option.
  • To adjust the roast duration, drag the start or end point on the graph or manually enter the times in the fields below.
  • Select the Update Duration button to submit.
