This roast machine is currently in the Alpha stage of development at Cropster.

Alpha means that we have limited experience with this particular roast machine. The setup instructions below have yet to be confirmed by the manufacturer. Therefore, the configuration in this article may not work across the entire model range.

If you have not received an invitation to join the beta program for this integration, but are keen on participating and testing out this new feature, please sign up here.

Once the connection is established, you may encounter some daily use flaws. It will be necessary to share such feedback with us, so please let us know if you encounter any unexpected behaviour.

We will be happy to assist in resolving any issues you may encounter or propose alternative connection options.

Setting up a connection

Via the computer

  1. Connect the network cable to your roaster's Ethernet port
  2. Connect the other end to the computer's Ethernet port.
  3. Proceed with the Network settings.

Via the network router

  1. Connect your network cable to your roaster's Ethernet port.
  2. Connect the other end to the router's Ethernet port.
  3. Ensure your computer and the router are connected (via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable).
  4. Proceed with the Network settings.

Network settings

When the roaster is connected to the computer directly, you need to set up a static IP address.

Identifying the IP address

Once you have connected the Innoenvas roast machine via Ethernet, you will need to identify the IP address assigned to your roast machine.

Generally, the IP address can be identified via a machine's interface by going to the Network settings/configuration.

At Cropster, we currently lack familiarity with the touchscreen interface found on Innoenvas roast machines.

If you're unable to locate the IP address, we recommend reaching out to the roast machine manufacturer. To assist them in providing you with the necessary information, please include a clear photo of the machine's plate or plaque that displays the serial number, along with any additional details about your specific model.

Static IP address configuration - Windows 7, 8, 10

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center or Network and Internet > Network Sharing Center.
  2. Click Change adapter settings.
  3. Identify the Network connection item that refers to the connection to your machine and select that item.
If you are not sure which icon refers to the roast machine, simply disconnect and reconnect the Ethernet cable, and check which icon changes its status.
  4. Right-click on WiFi or Local Area Connection.
  5. Click Properties.
  6. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  7. Click Properties.

Important: The first three blocks of the IP address need to match the IP address of your roaster, as identified via the roaster's panel
    • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.
  10. Leave the rest blank.
  11. Click the OK button to submit your changes.
  12. Proceed with the Roasting Intelligence (RI) Setup.

Static IP address configuration - macOS

  1. Navigate to > System Settings > Network.
  2. Identify the Network connection item that refers to the connection to your machine and select that item.
If you are not sure which icon refers to the roast machine, simply disconnect and reconnect the Ethernet cable, and check which icon changes its status.
  3. Click on Details...
  4. Open the TCP/IP section and choose Manually next to Configure IPv4.
  5. Enter the specific IP Address for your roaster and replace the fourth number block with 42:
