Additional information
Please review this section thoroughly before starting your roast to ensure you have all the necessary information
-
Machine-based Auto-start and End of Roast Detection: ROEST machines support machine-based auto-start and end-of-roast detection. Roasting Intelligence will start and stop tracking measurement values automatically when the roast is started/stopped on the ROEST machine.
We suggest enabling Auto-start and disabling the "Display Between Batch" curves and timer for both pre-roast and post-roast phases. - Manual Event Logging: Cropster cannot currently sync automatic machine events (such as yellowing or first crack) from ROEST. To include these in your logs, you must mark them manually within the Roasting Intelligence interface during the roast.
- Recording Batches: To ensure each roast is logged as a separate session, you must select Save or Abort before starting your next batch. Failure to do so will prevent the subsequent roast from being recorded correctly.
- Rate of Rise (RoR) Discrepancies: You may notice slight differences between the Rate of Rise (RoR) curves on your ROEST machine and in Cropster. This is normal, as Cropster uses its own independent algorithm to calculate RoR data.

Troubleshooting
If you are unable to establish a connection, verify your API credentials:
- Ensure the Client ID and Client Secret (API Key) were copied exactly as shown. Even a single missing character or an accidental space at the end will prevent a successful login.
