Cropster enables you to edit completed roasts, allowing for refined roasting records.

Please note that the "Rolling back" feature does not apply to roasts created through the Scheduling process.

There are two ways to edit a completed roast:

  1. Via the Roasting Intelligence (RI)
  2. Via the online platform C-sar

Editing a completed roast via the Roasting Intelligence (RI)

You can update the End weight, add Roast values 1 and 2, or add Notes directly in Roasting Intelligence after conducting a roast.

There are two ways to edit a roast in Roasting Intelligence (RI):

  • From the post-roast screen
  • From the Production overview page

From the post-roast screen

After stopping a roast, you will see the post-roast screen.

Modify these details:

  • Duration
  • Start weight
  • End weight
  • Roast value(s)
  • Roast notes

End weight, Roast values, and Notes can be added in the Production overview in RI after saving a roast.

Clicking Save will sync your roast with the online platform C-sar, including all modifications.

From the Production overview page

You can easily edit the roast by double-clicking (or double-tapping, if you're using a touchscreen) on the roasted batch in the Today's Production tab.

By following the steps below, you can edit your batches from the Production overview page

  1. Open the Production overview by clicking on the Production icon in the bottom left.
  2. Select the batch you would like to edit by clicking the dots (...).
Double-clicking the batch takes you directly to edit mode.
  3. Select Edit roast.
  4. You can modify the following:
    • End Weight
    • Roast value(s)
    • Notes

Clicking Save will sync your roast with the online platform C-sar, including all modifications.

Editing a completed roast online

You need to have roast editing permission to perform the following actions.

By following the steps below, you can edit a completed roast via the online platform C-sar:

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar.
  3. Select Roasts.
  4. Locate the PR tag for the roast you wish to modify.
  5. Navigate to the right side of the page. Click the Quick edit button.
  6. A new window will open to modify the following details:
    • Name
    • Profile
    • Roast technician
    • Roast value 1
    • Roast value 2
    • Green lot: To add or remove green lots, you need to visit the Edit page.
    • Weight
    • End weight (roasted)
    • Roast notes
  7. Click Save to submit.

For roasts linked to a Post-roast blend (e.g., PB-0001), the date/time and green lot(s) used cannot be modified.

Changing green lots and roast weights

Adjusting Start weights or replacing green lots will recalibrate your green inventory weight. However, if the inventory weight for a green lot has been manually changed after the roast, it will not be recalculated when replacing it.

By following the steps below, you can revise the roast components or start and end weights:

    • Green lot: You can only select green lots assigned to the same location as the roast and registered before the roast.
    • Weight
    • End weight

Rolling back (undoing) a roast

By following the steps below, you can easily roll back to the Green Inventory/undo a roast:

Reminder:

The "Rolling back" feature does not apply to roasts that are generated through the Scheduling process.

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar.
  3. Select Roasts.
  4. Select the PR tag associated with the roast you want to revert.
  5. You will be directed to the roast's details page. Click Edit.
  6. Scroll down to the Green section.
Changing a green lot or weight will recalculate the weights for both the old and new lots.
  7. Set the Start weight (green) and End weight (roasted) fields to 0 (zero).
  8. Scroll down to the bottom and click All changes saved.
  9. A warning message will appear:
  10. Click Delete to confirm.

Updating the roast curve

The roast curve cannot be modified directly.

By following the steps below, you can update the roast curve:

  1. Add a new roast manually.
  2. Click the Copy curve button in the Roasting Curve section.
  3. Select an existing roast curve to copy.

Adding or revising comments

  • Double-click on the graph to add a new comment.
  • Click on a comment to revise or delete it.

Editing the duration

  • To change the roast duration, adjust the start or end point on the timeline, or input the desired start and end times in the fields below.

This action is irreversible; the removed roast period cannot be recovered after saving.
