Overview 

This article provides an overview of Telemetry Insights for connected espresso machines.

Cafe Telemetry in Cropster Cafe captures real-time data from your espresso machine and turns it into clear, actionable insights. Explore these key areas for a complete view of your espresso machine's performance:

  1. Recipes: A full overview of your active and historical recipes.
  2. Brews: A detailed log of every shot pulled across your machines.
  3. Radar: A live dashboard for monitoring all connected equipment at once.

Click the dropdown next to the Go to button to access these detailed reports:

  • Brew Compare: Compare different recipes or machine performances side-by-side.
  • Consistency: Track how reliably your shots are hitting their targets over time.


Why use Telemetry Insights 

Telemetry Insights gives you a complete overview of every connected espresso machine. In one view, you can track production volume, brew success rates, and detailed grouphead usage, including flushes. Pairing Telemetry Insights with Cafe Radar lets you pinpoint exactly when and where performance issues occur.

Instructions

Navigating to the Telemetry Insights page

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to Cafe > Telemetry. 

Utilizing filters on the Telemetry Insights page

  1. To access the specific data you want to analyze, simply select the Filters button.
  2. Narrow your data using these specific filters:
    • Date range: Quickly filter by the last week, the current/last month, the last 6 months, or the past year.
    • Location: View only the locations set up with the Cafe attribute.
    • Espresso machine: Select from the machines assigned to your chosen location.
  3. Select Apply filters. Your settings are automatically saved, so any filters you apply will still be active when you return to the page. To start over, simply click Reset filters to clear your current criteria.

💡 Tips and Recommendations:

  • For the fastest performance, try selecting a shorter time frame.
  • To hide the filter menu, simply click the Filters button once again.
 


Reviewing the connected espresso machine details

Telemetry Insights gives you a complete snapshot of every connected machine, tracking these key details:

  • General details
    • Status: See if the machine is Online or Offline.
    • Connected via: 
      • BrewBeacon
      • La Marzocco Pro App
    • Location 
    • Station
    • Timezone
    • Type
    • Brand
    • Model
    • Serial number
    • Device ID
  • Linked Recipes


Find more navigation shortcuts in this section:

  1. Use Manage connection to jump to the Equipment details page, where you can:
    • Edit the espresso machine details
    • Disconnect your espresso machine
    • Delete your espresso machine
    • Link new Recipes
    • View Tasks
  2. Click Go to Task report to view a filtered performance report for your selected espresso machine. 
    💡 Select Export to PDF to download your tasks as a document.
  3. Use Change Recipe linking to manage grouphead assignments or create new recipes on the Recipe tab.
