1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Machines.  
3. Click  +Add new machine on the top right side of the page. 
   

   

4. Click the dropdown and select or type the Machine manufacturer's name.
   

   

5. Enter the following details:
   * indicates mandatory fields 
   • *Machine type
   • *Machine model
   • Custom machine name: Assign a unique name to identify this specific machine.
   • * Machine capacity: Select your preferred weight unit from the dropdown options.
   • * Location
   • * Usage: Select either a Production or Sample roaster. 
        ⚠️ Sample roaster access requires a Professional or higher-tier subscription. 
6. Click Create machine. 
   

   

Adding a new machine type

When 'Other' is selected as the manufacturer, a field will appear for you to define your specific machine type.

1. Enter the following details:
   * indicates mandatory fields
   • *Machine Manufacturer
   • Custom machine name
   • *Machine capacity: By clicking on the dropdown, you can select the unit.
   • *Location
   • *Usage
     • Production roaster
     • Sample roaster 
2. Click Create machine. 

Adding measurements to your roast machine 
 

1.  On the Machines overview page, click the Edit icon to configure your machine's supported measurements & controls.
   

   

2. Click Update machine to finalize the changes.
   

   

Configuring your roast machine in Roasting Intelligence 

1. Log in to Roasting Intelligence.
2. Navigate to the Preferences > Machine > Configuration tab.
3. Select the Machine by clicking on the dropdown in the Roasting Machine section. 
4. Navigate to the Connector setup section and select your connector. Begin typing the name of the connector or select the appropriate option from the list displayed.
5. Click +Add connector.
   

   

6. Click on theGear icon next to the connector in the Connector setup section to open and configure more settings.
7. Navigate to the Machine > Measurements tab. All supported measurements will be displayed here. To activate the measurements, click the green toggle button.
8. Select the relevant connector from the dropdown at each measurement.
9. To add additional machine controls, use the same process under the Machine > Controls tab.
10. Click Save to finalize the changes.
    ⚠️  Only click Save once you’ve finished configuring all settings in Roasting Intelligence.
    

    

11. Restart Roasting Intelligence. If the setup was successful, you will see the temperature values displayed on the right-hand side of the screen following the restart.
