Adding custom varieties
Table of Contents
This article explains how to add a custom variety to a lot or a sample in the Green Inventory in C-sar. Use this article if the variety that you roast does not appear in the standard list of varieties that Cropster provides.
Add a custom variety to a new lot
- Log in to C-sar.
- Click (Green) Inventory on the main menu bar. The (Green) Inventory overview page opens.
- Click Add lot.
- Select One to add a single lot, or select Bulk import to add multiple lots at once.
- If the Varieties field is not visible, click Customize fields to add it to the form.

- If the variety that you want is not in the Varieties field, enter its name in the field. Enter the correct spelling, because the variety stays on the list of varieties after you add it, even if you later remove it from a lot or sample.
- Click Create to save the variety to the list of varieties and add it to the lot.
The variety that you added remains on the list of varieties, so that you can add the same variety to another lot without entering it again. You can add more than one variety to a lot at the same time.
Add a custom variety to an existing lot
- Click (Green) Inventory on the main menu bar. The (Green) Inventory overview page opens.
- Click the ID tag of the lot that you want to add a custom variety to. The lot details page opens.
- Click Edit.
- Follow steps 3 through 7 under Add a custom variety to a new lot to add the variety.
- Click Update lot.
Add a custom variety to a sample
Samples are available on the Scale plan and higher plans.
- Click Samples on the main menu bar in C-sar. The samples overview page opens.
- Follow the steps under Add a custom variety to a new lot if you are adding the variety to a new sample, or the steps under Add a custom variety to an existing lot if you are adding the variety to a sample that already exists.
