How to track weight loss
Table of Contents
Overview
This article explains how to track weight loss with Cropster. Tracking inventory weight loss is one of the most critical metrics for a roasting business. While it might seem like a minor detail, it directly impacts your consistency.
The post-roast data collection includes tracking the End weight and Weight loss percentage:

Instructions
Cropster offers two ways to track your weight loss:
Calculated weight loss
After you manually track the end weight for at least ten roasts of a profile, Cropster calculates the average weight loss % of those batches. This average becomes your expected weight loss, which Cropster then uses to pre-fill the end weight field for future roasts.
Expected weight loss
Include an expected weight loss percentage when building new profiles in C-sar.
If you provide an expected weight loss percentage, Cropster will automatically calculate the batch’s final weight for you.
