Why mark the lots consumed?

When your stock of a lot of green coffee reaches 0 kg/lbs, it will be automatically marked as consumed.

You can also manually mark lots as consumed, even if they aren't at this weight, such as in cases of damage from mold or water. You will still be able to view the current state and history of your lots.

The steps of marking lots consumed

You can manage and track your inventory with the online platform C-sar in real time.

There are two ways to manually mark a green lot as consumed:

  • Via the (Green) Inventory overview page
  • Via the lot details page

Via the (Green) Inventory overview page

By following the steps below, you can mark lots consumed via the (Green) Inventory overview page:

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to (Green) Inventory on the main menu bar. You will be directed to the (Green) Inventory Overview page.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the lot(s) that you wish to mark as consumed.
  4. Select the More button located at the top right corner of the page.
  5. Select the Mark as consumed option.
  6. Click on the Yes, mark as consumed option to confirm your selection.

Via the lot details page

By following the steps below, you can mark lots consumed via the lot details page:

  1. Navigate to the lot details page by clicking on the ID tag of the lot.
  2. Click Manage > Mark consumed from the top right menu and confirm the action.

Accessing your lots marked as consumed

Depending on your view, consumed lots disappear from the main overview page.

By following the steps below, you can access your consumed lots:

  1. Navigate to the (Green) Inventory overview page.
  2. Click on theFilter button.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Consumed in the Status filter to include these lots in your view.
  4. Click Apply filters.
  5. Your consumed lots will now be visible in the overview table.

Unconsuming consumed lots

  1. Click on the ID tag of the consumed lot for which you want to adjust the weight. You will be directed to the lot details page.
  2. Click Manage and select Mark not consumed.

You can also choose the Manage > Adjust weight option in this section. When you modify the weight of the lot, it will be automatically marked as unconsumed.

FAQs

What is the difference between marking a lot consumed and deleting?
When you are marking a lot consumed, you keep all the history of that particular lot so you can filter and report on it. You can also add the consumed lots back to your active inventory at any time.

Deleting a lot permanently removes all history, making filtering and reporting impossible, and the deletion cannot be undone.

Congratulations! You are now able to manage the consumed lots.
