How to allow Roasting Intelligence to find devices on your network (macOS only)
Table of Contents
This article is for users running Roasting Intelligence on macOS 15 and higher with a roast machine connected via the network.
Overview
This article explains how to allow Roasting Intelligence to find devices on your network if you use macOS.
Instructions
MacOS requires permission for certain apps to access network data. If your roast machine is network-connected, you’ll need to grant Roasting Intelligence this access.
Granting access during the initial Roasting Intelligence setup
The first time you open Roasting Intelligence after setup, you'll be prompted to allow the app to access devices on your local network.
Click Allow to grant Roasting Intelligence access.

Retroactively via the system settings
If you accidentally click Don’t Allow in the prompt, you can easily enable network access by adjusting your system settings:
-
Navigate to
> System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
-
Locate Cropster Roasting Intelligence and toggle the switch to the right to enable access.
