Quick checklist before you start
- The BrewBeacon hardware is installed on your espresso machine.
- You have the 2.4 GHz WiFi credentials for the network you want BrewBeacon to use.
- You can access your Cropster Cafe account via the online platform C-sar.
Adding your espresso machine to your Cropster Cafe account
By following the steps below, you can easily add your espresso machine to your Cropster Cafe account:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.

Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar and select Assets. You will be directed to the Assets overview page.

Click on the dropdown at +Add Equipment and select Espresso machine. You will be directed to the Cropster Cafe Setup page.
- Select the Location.

Click Review location and continue to proceed.
- Verify that the details of your selected (or newly created) location are accurate and complete.

Click Continue to proceed.

Choose BrewBeacon as your connection type. Click Continue with BrewBeacon connection.

Click the dropdown and select Create a new machine.
- Click Review espresso machine and continue.

Enter the following details:

- *Model
- *Number of Groupheads
- *Serial number
- Alternative name
- *Location
- Stations

- Click Continue. You will be directed to the Connect espresso machine page.
- Ensure that the number of Groupheads registered for your espresso machine on your Cropster Cafe account reflects the actual number of Groupheads.
- Copy or jot down the Pairing code you see on the screen. This code will be valid for 30 minutes.

Once you read all the information on this page, click Got it.
- Power on the espresso machine.
- On boot, the BrewBeacon will broadcast an open WiFi network named BrewBeacon xxxxxx.
- Via the WiFi settings of your device, join BrewBeacon's network.
- A browser will automatically open to the BrewBeacon settings page. If it doesn't, you need to enter the address http://10/10/0.1/.
- Set a password for the BrewBeacon xxxxx network (for the first time only) and enter your 2.4 GHz WiFi SSID (Service Set Identifier, e.g., Coffeeshop_Wifi) and password.
- Paste the Pairing code you copied earlier into the settings page and click Connect machine.
- Leave this page and reconnect your device to your normal WiFi.
- Navigate back to your account on the online platform C-sar and refresh the page.

Your espresso machine will now show as “Online”.
Good to know
The first shots must contain coffee to register data: shots without coffee will not produce any data. Flushes will be recorded, but won't appear until the first shot with coffee is pulled. Calibration may take up to 24 hours.

Do I need to turn on the BrewBeacon separately?
