How to reset the BrewBeacon

Overview
This article will explain how to reset your BrewBeacon.
The reasons for resetting a BrewBeacon can generally be grouped into three main categories:
- Troubleshooting & error resolution: These resets are typically performed when the device is behaving unexpectedly or has encountered a system fault.
- Configuration changes: These resets are usually necessary to apply significant changes to the device's internal settings.
- Network & connectivity issues: These resets address problems related to how the BrewBeacon interacts with the local network or the internet.
Instructions
There are two reset options available:
- Soft reset: It erases the WiFi password, protecting the device's access point.
- Factory reset: It erases all user data from the device (including WiFi credentials, Cropster Cafe pairing credentials, and Brew data).
By following the steps below, you can reset the BrewBeacon:
- Press and hold the
Reset button for a specific amount of time. - Press the
Reset button, and LED1 starts flashing while LED2 turns on.

If you hold the
Reset button for more than 20 seconds, the reset process will be cancelled, and both LEDs will go back to showing the normal status of the device.
