This article will explain how to set up your Lab with Cropster.

Setting up your Lab in Cropster

If you have already recorded a score, the initial setup page will no longer appear.

Customizing the settings

Edit your evaluators, labs, and sheets anytime via the Lab settings modules:

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Lab settings.
  3. You can customize the following settings:
    • Descriptors
    • Evaluators
    • Labs
    • Categories
    • Cupping sheets

Descriptors

Custom Descriptors

You can manage and enhance your custom descriptors in several ways:

  • Edit and review the custom descriptors.

  • Adjust the default setting to either positive or negative using the toggle button.

Evaluators

Evaluators are users with "Enter cupping data" permissions.

  • Internal Evaluators: Must have their own Cropster login to use the Cropster Cup app. Designating a user as an evaluator will automatically link their name to all their existing evaluations.
  • Guest Evaluators: Can be created to record scores on their behalf using the online bulk evaluation feature.

The Evaluators tab is divided into two distinct sections:

  1. Guest evaluators
  2. Evaluators

Guest evaluators

Guest evaluators can be added and managed either from this section or during the setup of a cupping session.

To improve your workflow, you can perform the following action:

  • Merge a Guest evaluator with an existing user.
  • Remove Guest evaluators from the list to prevent them from appearing when creating a new cupping session. Deleting a Guest evaluator will not affect your historical cupping data or previous sessions.

To use Cropster Cup, evaluators must have their own login and the Use Cropster Cup permission enabled in their settings.
