Espresso machines compatible with Cropster Cafe
 

Please note:

On March 18, 2025, La Marzocco introduced an update that enhanced the functionality and connectivity of their machines.

Existing Cropster Cafe customers do not need to reconnect their La Marzocco native machines; those that are already connected will remain so after the update.

Customers wishing to connect new machines to Cropster for the first time will need to complete the process using the updated La Marzocco Pro app.

 


Currently, the following machine models are compatible for connection:

  • GB5 S AV or ABR 
  • GB5 X AV or ABR
  • GB5 S EE
  • Linea Classic S
  • Linea PB AV or ABR
  • Linea PB X AV or ABR
  • KB90 AV or ABR
  • Strada X ABR: To collect data from the Strada X, it has to be configured as AV/ABR.
  • Strada S AV
  • Strada S ABR
 

Setting up your espresso machine in your Cropster Account

Before you can connect your espresso machine, you need to have your Cropster Cafe account set up.

Connecting your espresso machine to Cropster Cafe

Ensure you have added your machine to your La Marzocco Pro App account and that the machine is Connected or Connected Remotely and showing all Groupheads with data.

If you can't connect your machine, please reach out to La Marzocco's Support Team. 

By following the steps below, you can connect your espresso machine to Cropster Cafe via the La Marzocco Pro app: 

  1. Click on the espresso machine you want to connect in your La Marzocco Pro app.
  2. Navigate to the Settings.
  3. You will see the Cropster icon displayed here. If the icon is not active, it indicates that the machine is currently not connected.
  4. Select the Cropster icon, and you will be taken to the next page for further instructions.
  5. Click on Connect to Cropster. 
  6. Sign in to your Cropster Cafe account. 
  7. Press + Add machine, and add all the required information about the machine you are connecting.
    If the system identifies the serial number or model of the machine you are attempting to connect, you will be prompted to update the existing machine information instead of adding a new entry.
  8. Once you have filled in all the required information, press Add and connect equipment.
  9. After your machine is successfully connected, the Cropster icon will appear.
  10. It takes roughly two minutes for your machine to show as "Active", as the software waits for the first heartbeat message from your machine. Your machine should show as "Active" upon refreshing your page.

FAQs

What should I do if I don't get any brews on the Strada X ABR machines?
Check the settings of your machine to ensure that the "AV/ABR mode" is enabled in the La Marzocco Pro App.
