Using Smart Customizable Alerts

This article introduces the Smart Customizable Alerts in Roasting Intelligence (RI5).

What's new?

If Smart Alerts seem familiar to you, that's because they're not entirely new.

In the past, you could only set audible alarms in RI for two specific events: when you were 60 seconds away from the First Crack or the end of the Profile.

The improved Smart Customizable Alerts feature in RI5 allows you to:

  • Set alerts as visual or audible or both fast and efficiently.
💡This is particularly beneficial for individuals with hearing impairments or those working in noisy environments.
  • Select the sound for your alerts.
💡 If your computer is equipped with Bluetooth, you can enhance your experience by connecting external devices to listen to Smart Alerts.
  • Create an unlimited number of alerts.
  • Easily enable or disable alerts for each specific event according to your needs.
💡 Temporarily disabling alerts rather than deleting them can help you save time and streamline your workflow.
  • Choose when alerts can be triggered in relation to the Target, e.g. when the temperature is increasing, decreasing or both.
  • Keep track of all the alerts that have been triggered.
💡 By reviewing the Alerts log, you can easily monitor the production and identify any patterns or issues that may arise. You can also easily clear the log, allowing you to start fresh and maintain an organized record of your alerts.
  • Improve the overall consistency of your roasts.
