Assigning Location-based user permissions
Before you begin assigning users to specific locations, we recommend adding a location first.
By following the steps below, you can easily assign Location-based user permissions:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to the
Gear icon on the top right side of the page.
- Select Users. You will be directed to the Users overview page.
- Click on the green +Invite user button.
- Enter the *Name and the *Email address.
* is indicating mandatory fields - Choose the role you wish to assign to the user.
💡 By selecting the Custom option, you can further customize the user's permissions to align specifically with their assigned location, providing more tailored access. - In the Managed advanced permissions section, you can customize the user's permissions even further. Simply click on the checkboxes and select options from the dropdown menus as needed to choose from the following permission levels:
- View
- View & Edit
- On the right side of the page, you will find the Location section. If you manage multiple locations, you can limit the user's visibility to a specific location by selecting the corresponding checkbox.
- Select the green Invite user button to send the invitation.
Editing Location-based User Permissions
- Navigate to the
Gear icon on the top right side of the page.
- Select Users. You will be directed to the Users overview page.
- Locate the User you wish to modify and click on Edit permissions.
- Navigate to the Restrict Cafe users to locations section.
- Choose the location(s) from the dropdown menu that you want to restrict access for the selected user.
- Click on Update user to apply the changes.

How can I add a location?
By following these steps, you can easily add a location:
- Navigate to More > Locations on the main menu bar.
- If you haven't added a location yet, you will see the following page:
- Click +Add location.
- Enter the following details:

- *Location name
- *Location type
💡 Select Cafe by clicking on the dropdown. - *Country
- City
- *Time zone
- Street
- Zip code
- Click Create location.
How can I delete a location?
By following the steps below, you can easily delete a location:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to More on the main menu bar and select Locations.
- Click on the Location name you wish to delete.
- Click on the
Delete icon on the top right side of the page.
Locations with an active espresso machine cannot be deleted.
💡If you attempt to delete a location that has an active espresso machine, you will receive an error message. This precautionary measure is in place to prevent the loss of any critical data associated with that location.
What happens if a user is not assigned to any Location?
If a user is not assigned to any location, they will have access to view all locations.
