Adding a new espresso machine from the Operations overview page

You can now effortlessly add a new espresso machine by choosing the "Add a new Espresso Machine" option directly from the Operations overview page.

Adding a new espresso machine from the Equipment overview page

By following the steps below, you can easily add a new espresso machine from the Equipment overview page:

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar and select Equipment by clicking on the dropdown. You will be directed to the Equipment overview page. 
3. Click + Add equipment on the top right side of the page. 
   
4. Select the Espresso machine option.  You will be directed to the Cropster Cafe Onboarding page. 
   
   
   

You are now on the Cropster Cafe Setup page, where you will need to complete the following steps:

1. Selecting your location
2. Choosing a connection type
3. Setting up the espresso machine
4. Connecting the espresso machine

Selecting your location

1. By clicking on the dropdown next to Location, you can either:

   • Select an existing location from all locations with the "Cafe" attribute.

   • Create a new location. 
2. After selecting either an existing location or creating a new one, click on the green Review location and continue button. 
   
3. Verify that the details of your selected or newly created location are accurate and complete.
   
4. If you decide to create a new location, enter the following details:
   * is indicating mandatory fields 
   • *Cafe location name
   • *Location type
   • *Country
   • *Time zone
   • City
   • Street
   • Zip Code
5. You can either Go back to the location selection or click on the green Continue button to proceed. 

Choosing a connection type

You have the option to choose from three different connection methods:

1. BrewBeacon connection: Continue with this type of connection if you have a BrewBeacon installed on your machine and are in proximity to it. 
   
2. La Marzocco Pro App connection: Continue with this type of connection if you have a compatible La Marzocco machine with the La Marzocco Pro App ready.
   
3. Unsure: Choose this option if you are uncertain about the best method to connect your espresso machine to Cropster Cafe.
   💡 If you continue with this option, you can still add an espresso machine after clicking on the green Continue with setup espresso machine button. This will direct you to the third step (Setting up the espresso machine).

 

Setting up the espresso machine

You can either select an existing espresso machine or set up a new machine.

BrewBeacon connection

All BrewBeacon-compatible espresso machines linked to the previously selected location will be readily displayed for your convenience.

After selecting either an existing machine or setting up a new one, you will be asked to verify the details of the selected machine to ensure that all information is accurate.

Setting up a new machine

1. Enter the following details:
   * is indicating mandatory fields
   
   
   • *Brand
   • *Model
   • *No. of Groupheads
   • *Serial number
   • Alternative name
   • *Location
     
   • Stations
     💡 Stations enable you to group equipment.
   • Comment
2. Click on Continue.

Connecting the espresso machine

BrewBeacon connection

The BrewBeacon needs to be installed on your espresso machine by following the installation guide.

You will also be informed about how to connect the espresso machine with the BrewBeacon and given a pairing code on this page. 

La Marzocco Pro App Connection

1. First, log in to the La Marzocco Pro App, click on the right machine, ensure the configuration is fully loaded, and scroll down to click on the Cropster Manage button.
2. Click on Connect to Cropster Cafe, or copy the provided Connection token.
3. Paste the token below and click Continue.
   

 Having successfully added your new espresso machine, you are now ready to proceed with the next steps:

• Creating Recipes
• Assigning Recipes to Groupheads/Buttons
• Creating a Reference Brew 

FAQs

How do I set up a new espresso machine that is not listed on the online platform, C-sar?

You can add a new espresso machine that is not currently available on the C-sar online platform by following these simple steps:

1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
2. Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar and select Equipment by clicking on the dropdown. You will be directed to the Equipment overview page. 
3. Click + Add equipment on the top right side of the page. 
4. Select the Espresso machine option.
5. Select the Location and click the Review location and continue button. 
6. Review your chosen or new location to ensure all required information is correct. Click Continue. 
7. Choose a connection type. Click the Continue with BrewBeacon connection option.
8. Select the Create a new machine option by clicking on the dropdown, and click the Review espresso machine and continue button. 
   
9. To configure the espresso machine, select the *Brand and *Model from the provided options. If your specific brand or model is not listed, you can choose the 'Other' option to proceed.

10. After entering all the required information, click on the Continue button to proceed.
