Adding a new espresso machine from the Operations overview page
Click the "Add a new Espresso Machine" option directly from the Operations overview page.
Adding a new espresso machine from the Assets overview page
By following the steps below, you can easily add a new espresso machine from the Equipment overview page:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar and select Assets by clicking on the dropdown. You will be directed to the Assets overview page.
- Click + Add equipment and select Espresso machine from the dropdown.
- You will be directed to the Cropster Cafe Setup page.

Selecting your location
Espresso machines can only be added to locations designated with the "Cafe" attribute.
You can designate the appropriate location type by following the detailed instructions provided here.
- By clicking on the dropdown next to Location, you can either:

Select an existing location from all locations with the "Cafe" attribute.
- Create a new location.

- After selecting either an existing location or creating a new one, click on the green Review location and continue button.
- Verify that the details of your selected or newly created location are accurate and complete.
- If you decide to create a new location, enter the following details:
* indicates mandatory fields- *Cafe location name
- *Location type: You must select "Cafe" as the only applicable location type in this section.
- *Country
- *Time zone
- City
- Street
- Zip Code
- You can return to location selection or click the green Continue button to proceed.

Choosing a connection type
Connecting your espresso machine enhances your cafe's capabilities and functionalities.
It allows for automatic data collection, providing insights into operations, improving maintenance, and enhancing consistency and quality in coffee brewing.
You have the option to choose from three different connection methods:
- BrewBeacon connection: Continue with this type of connection if you have a BrewBeacon installed on your machine and are in proximity to it.
- La Marzocco Pro App connection: Continue with this type of connection if you have a compatible La Marzocco machine with the La Marzocco Pro app ready.
- Unsure: Choose this option if you are uncertain about the best method to connect your espresso machine to Cropster Cafe.

Setting up the espresso machine
You can either select an existing espresso machine or set up a new machine.
BrewBeacon connection
All BrewBeacon-compatible espresso machines linked to the previously selected location will be readily displayed for your convenience.
After selecting either an existing machine or setting up a new one, you will be asked to verify the details of the selected machine to ensure that all information is accurate.

Setting up a new machine
- Enter the following details:
* indicates mandatory fields
- *Brand
- *Model
- *No. of Groupheads
- *Serial number
- Alternative name
- *Location
- Stations: Stations help group your assets.

- Click on Continue.
Connecting the espresso machine
BrewBeacon connection
The BrewBeacon needs to be installed on your espresso machine by following the installation guide.
You will also be informed about how to connect the espresso machine with the BrewBeacon and given a pairing code on this page.
After clicking ‘Got it’, you will land on the Espresso Machine details page of the machine.
If the BrewBeacon isn't connected, the machine will not appear as Online. After connecting, refresh the page to display the machine.
La Marzocco Pro App Connection
- First, log in to the La Marzocco Pro App, click on the right machine, ensure the configuration is fully loaded, and scroll down to click on the Cropster Manage button.
- Click on Connect to Cropster Cafe, or copy the provided Connection token.
- Paste the token below and click Continue.

How do I set up a new espresso machine that is not listed on the online platform, C-sar?
You can add a new espresso machine that is not currently available on the C-sar online platform by following these simple steps:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to Cafe on the main menu bar and select Assets by clicking on the dropdown. You will be directed to the Assets overview page.
- Click + Add equipment and select the Espresso machine option from the dropdown.
- Select the Location and click Review location and continue.
- Review your chosen or new location to ensure all required information is correct. Click Continue.
- Choose a connection type. Click the Continue with BrewBeacon connection option.
- Select the Create a new machine option by clicking on the dropdown, and click Review espresso machine and Continue.
- To configure the espresso machine, select the *Brand and *Model from the provided options. If your specific brand or model is not listed, you can choose the 'Other' option to proceed.
* indicates mandatory fields - After entering all the required information, click on the Continue button to proceed.
The *Model field will become available only after selecting the *Brand; otherwise, it remains greyed out.
