These improvements are designed to ensure a more efficient experience, allowing you to navigate the interface with greater speed and ease.
Our goal is to streamline your workflow, making your interaction with the Roasts overview page as productive as possible.
Now, let’s explore these new and newly improved features in detail.
The Roast overview page
By following the steps below, you can navigate to the newly improved Roast overview page:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar.
- You will be directed to the Roast Overview page.
Exploring the new Roasts tab
One of the most significant enhancements in the Roasts tab is the expanded default display of information, providing you with a more comprehensive overview compared to the earlier version:
Customizing the displayed information
To get started, let’s customize the information shown on your new Roasts tab to match your preferences more closely.
- To customize the information shown according to your preferences, click on the Customize button found in the upper right corner of the page.
- A new side panel will open, providing you with the ability to save your customized preferences.
- In the Columns to Display section, you have the option to choose which information you want to be visible by checking the corresponding boxes.
💡You can also easily rearrange the order of the columns by clicking on the arrows. -
Click the green Apply button located at the bottom of the window to confirm and save your customized preferences.
To view all the displayed columns, you may need to navigate to the bottom of the Roast overview page and use the horizontal scroll bar to move left or right.
💡You can also activate horizontal scrolling by pressing and holding the Shift key while you use your mouse or trackpad to scroll.
The sticky header allows you to continuously view important information, even while scrolling down the page.

Using filters on the Roasts tab
To refine the search on the Roasts tab, simply click on the Filters button to display the filter selection.
You can apply filters to narrow down your search based on the following criteria:
- Roast date
- ID-tag
- Name
- Profile
- Machine
- Roast technician
- Green lot
- Location
- Project
- Status
- Reference roasts:
When utilizing the Filters, consider the following important points:
- By selecting the corresponding checkbox, you can filter the Roasts overview page to display only the Reference roasts for the corresponding Profiles.
- You can select multiple Profiles and Machines simultaneously.
- You need to input the Name and ID tag manually.
- You can either enter the name of the Roast Technicians and Green lots manually or choose it from the available options by clicking on the drop-down.
Roasts batch actions
A significant improvement is that the action options have now been relocated to the right side of the page for easier access, enhancing your overall experience.
Additionally, we've broadened the selection of available options and made enhancements to the exporting features as well.
By following the steps below, you can easily perform several actions simultaneously:
- To choose specific roasts, simply click the checkboxes next to each entry you wish to select.
- The available options will appear on the right side of the page for your convenience:
- Compare roasts
- Create blend
- Edit Roast Values

💡By selecting the dropdown menu, you can explore a range of additional options for performing bulk actions.- Start cupping session

- After selecting the desired roasts, the Export button will become accessible in the top right corner of the page.
You have the following options for exporting roasts:
- Excel (.xls)
- Print roast details (PDF)
You can choose which specific details to include by selecting the corresponding checkboxes:

The key updates to the "Roast batch actions" include the following enhancements:
- You can easily perform bulk edits on Roast Values by selecting multiple roasts, which will direct you to the Edit Roast Values page for quick and convenient modifications.
- You can bulk edit Roast Technicians to ensure that your data is accurate.
- The Export button is now always visible on the top right side of the page.
The "Quick edit" feature
This new feature has been introduced to enhance both speed and convenience in your workflow.
You may need to utilize the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page to access the Quick edit button, depending on the number of columns displayed:
By following the steps below, you can conveniently utilize the "Quick edit" feature:
- Identify the specific roast that you would like to modify.
- Click on the Quick edit button positioned on the right side of the page.
- A new dialog will pop up, enabling you to edit the following details:
💡Please note that you can adjust the green lots and weights directly from the Quick Edit modal. If you wish to add or remove green lots, simply click on the green Edit link to access the Edit page.
- Name
- Profile
- Roast technician
- Roast value 1, 2
- End weight
- Roast notes
- Click Save to submit the changes.
Exploring the new Post-roast blends tab
By following the steps below, you can easily navigate to the Post-roast blends tab:
- Log in to the online platform C-sar.
- Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar. You will be directed to the Roast Overview page.
- Switch to the Post-roast blends tab.
- The tab provides a wealth of information, giving you a thorough overview of all essential details:
- Blend
- Blend date
- Blend profile
- Location
- Roasted lots
- Project
- Remaining inventory
- Notes
Customizing the displayed information
To begin, let’s adjust the information displayed on your Post-roast blends tab to better align with your preferences.
- To customize the information shown according to your preferences, click on the Customize button found in the upper right corner of the page.
- A new window will appear, providing you with the ability to save your customized preferences.
- In the Columns to Display section, you have the option to choose which information you want to be visible by checking the corresponding boxes.
💡You can also easily rearrange the order of the columns by clicking on the arrows. - Click the green Apply button located at the bottom of the window to confirm and save your customized preferences.
The Blend column is essential and must always be displayed; it cannot be removed from the view.

- Blend date
- PB number
- Name
- Blend profile
- Location
- Roasted lots
- Project
- Status
- Available
- Consumed

- You can select multiple Blend profiles, Locations, and Projects simultaneously.
- You need to input the Name and ID tag and Roasted lots manually.
- You can either enter the name of the Blend profile, Location, and Project manually or choose it from the available options by clicking on the drop-down.
Post-roast blends batch actions
The batch action options have been conveniently moved to the right side of the page, similar to the Roasts tab, for enhanced accessibility and ease of use.
By following the steps below, you can easily perform several actions simultaneously:
- To choose specific blends, simply click the checkboxes next to each entry you wish to select.
- The available options will appear on the right side of the page for your convenience.
- Mark as consumed
- Quality compare
- Start cupping session
- Delete blends
- After selecting the desired blends, the Export button will become accessible in the top right corner of the page.
You have the following options for exporting roasts:
- Excel (.xls)
- Blend details (.pdf)

FAQs
How to close the Filter window?
Simply click on the Filters icon once again. This will hide the Filter options, enabling you to navigate back to the main view of your Roasts or Post-roast blends tab.
How many roasts can I compare at a time?
You can compare a maximum of 10 roasts at a time.
How can I mark my roasts consumed?
- Select the checkbox next to the ID tags of the Roasts you would like to mark as consumed.
- Select the More option located in the top right corner of the page.
- Select Mark as consumed.
How can I add or remove green lots?
For adding or removing green lots from a roast, you need to use the standard Edit page.
