Using the new Roast overview page

This article introduces the newly improved Roast overview page and its features.




What's new? 


We have implemented significant enhancements to the Roasts overview page based on your feedback. These improvements aim to create a more efficient experience, enabling faster and easier navigation.

Our goal is to streamline your workflow for a more productive interaction with the Roasts overview page. Let’s explore these new features in detail.

The Roast overview page 


By following the steps below, you can navigate to the newly improved Roast overview page

  1. Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  2. Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar. You will be directed to the Roast Overview page.

Exploring the new Roasts tab


A major enhancement in the Roasts tab is the expanded default information display, offering a more comprehensive overview than before:

Customizing the displayed information


By following the steps below, you can customize the displayed information:

  1. Click the Customize button in the upper right corner to adjust the displayed information.

  2. A side panel will open, allowing you to save your customized preferences.
  3. In the Columns to Display section, you can select visible information by checking the boxes and rearrange the column order using the arrows.

  4. Click Apply to save.

To view all displayed columns, use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the Roast overview page or hold the Shift key while scrolling with your mouse or trackpad.

The sticky header keeps important information visible as you scroll down the page.

Using filters on the Roasts tab


Use the FilterIcon-png-1Filters button to refine your search:

You can apply filters to narrow down your search based on the following criteria:

  • Roast date
  • ID-tag
  • Name
  • Profile
  • Machine
  • Roast technician
  • Green lot
  • Location
  • Project
  • Status
  • Reference roasts

When using the Filters, keep these key points in mind:

  • By checking the appropriate box, you can refine the Roasts overview page to show only the Reference roasts associated with the selected Profiles.
  • You can select multiple Profiles and Machines simultaneously. 
  • You need to input the Name and ID tag manually.
  • You can either enter the name of the Roast technicians and green lots manually or choose it from the available options by clicking on the dropdown. 


Roasts batch actions

The action options have been moved to the right side of the page for easier access, and we've expanded the available options and improved the exporting features.

By following the steps below, you can easily perform several actions simultaneously:

  1. Select specific roasts by checking the boxes next to each entry.

  2. The options will appear on the right side of the page:
    • Compare roasts
    • Create blend
    • Edit Roast Values
    • More: By selecting the dropdown menu, you can explore a range of additional options for performing bulk actions.
      • Start cupping session
      • Bulk edit Roast Technician
      • Mark as consumed
      • Delete roasts 
  1. After selecting the desired roasts, the Export button will become accessible in the top right corner of the page.

    You have the following options for exporting roasts:
    • Excel (.xls)
    • Print roast details (PDF)
      Select the specific details to include by checking the corresponding boxes:

Key updates to "Roast batch actions" include enhanced options and improved exporting features:

  • You can bulk edit Roast Values by selecting multiple roasts, directing you to the Edit Roast Values page for quick modifications.
  • You can bulk edit Roast Technicians to ensure that your data is accurate. 
  • The Export button is now always visible on the top right side of the page. 

The "Quick edit" feature

This feature enhances speed and convenience in your workflow.

You may need to use the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page to access the Quick edit button, depending on the displayed columns.

By following the steps below, you can conveniently utilize the "Quick edit" feature

  1. Identify the specific roast that you would like to modify.
  2. Click on the Quick edit button positioned on the right side of the page.

  3. A dialog will open for editing details.
    You can adjust green lots and weights directly in the Quick Edit modal. To add or remove green lots, click the green Edit link to access the Edit page.

  4. Click Save to submit.


Exploring the new Post-roast blends tab


By following the steps below, you can easily navigate to the Post-roast blends tab:

  • Log in to the online platform C-sar.
  • Navigate to Roasts on the main menu bar. You will be directed to the Roast Overview page.
  • Switch to the Post-roast blends tab.

    The tab provides a wealth of information, giving you a thorough overview of all essential details:
    • Blend
    • Blend date
    • Blend profile
    • Location
    • Roasted lots: Display the weights and percentages of the roasted lots in the blend.
    • Project
    • Remaining inventory
    • Notes

Customizing the displayed information


By following the steps below, you can customize the displayed information:
  1. Click the Customize button in the upper right corner to adjust the displayed information

The Blend column is mandatory and cannot be removed from the view.

  • Blend date
  • PB number
  • Name
  • Blend profile
  • Location
  • Roasted lots
  • Project
  • Status
    • Available
    • Consumed

  • You can select multiple Blend profiles, Locations, and Projects simultaneously.
  • You need to input the Name and ID tag and Roasted lots manually.
  • You can either enter the name of the Blend profile, Location, and Project manually or choose it from the available options by clicking on the dropdown. 

Post-roast blends batch actions


The batch action options have been conveniently moved to the right side of the page, similar to the Roasts tab, for enhanced accessibility and ease of use.

By following the steps below, you can easily perform several actions simultaneously:

  1. Select specific blends by checking the boxes next to each entry.

  2. The options will appear on the right side of the page:
    • Mark as consumed
    • Quality compare
    • Start cupping session
    • Delete blends
  3. After selecting the desired blends, the Export button will become accessible in the top right corner of the page.

    You have the following options for exporting post-roast blends:
    • Excel (.xls)
    • Blend details (.pdf)
      Select the specific details to include by checking the corresponding boxes:

FAQs


How to close the Filter window? 

Simply click on the FilterIcon@2x Filters icon once again. This will hide the Filter options, allowing you to return to the main view of your Roasts or Post-roast blends tab.

How many roasts can I compare at a time?

You can compare a maximum of 10 roasts at a time.

How can I mark my roasts consumed? 

  1. Check the boxes next to the Roasts you wish to mark as consumed.
  2. Select the More option located in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select Mark as consumed

How can I add or remove green lots? 

Use the standard Edit page.
