Managing consumed lots

This article explains the handling of consumed lots and also how to mark your lots consumed and unconsumed.

Managing consumed lots is available for the following products:

  • Roast professional and higher tiers
  • Origin professional and higher tiers
  • Lab

Why marking the lots consumed?

When you have used your entire stock of a lot of green coffee and the actual weight is 0 kg/lbs, it will automatically be marked as consumed.

This feature will help you to mark your lots consumed even though the actual weight is not 0 kg/lbs. In case of any damage (e.g. mold, water), when the lots can not be used for roasting, you are able to simply mark them consumed.

In this case, you will still be able to view your lots in their current state and history.

FAQs

What is the difference between marking a lot consumed and deletion?

When you are marking a lot consumed, you keep all the history of that particular lot so you are able to filter and report on it. You can also add the consumed lots back to your active inventory any time. Deleting a lot means all the history is gone and you can not filter or report on it anymore. Furthermore deletion is irrecoverable.
