How to switch to ShipStation

This manual explains how to switch to ShipStation from your current store integration.

Switching to ShipStation is available for the following products:

  • Commerce and higher tiers

This particular manual is designed for users who have previously set up a shop integration (e.g. Shopify).

Getting Started

Requirements

Before you proceed, please take note of the following important information:

While you can integrate other shop platforms with Cropster, please note that you cannot synchronize products from the same store across both e.g. Shopify and ShipStation. Doing so may result in duplicate orders, with one set originating from Shopify and another from ShipStation.

In this situation, we suggest setting up one store e.g. Shopify that connects to Cropster, and a separate store for different products that connect to ShipStation. ShipStation will serve as an intermediary platform, facilitating the connection between your store and Cropster.
💡 This method is especially advantageous for businesses that engage in both wholesale and retail operations.

It is also essential to verify that all of your orders are directed to ShipStation before you connect ShipStation with Cropster.

Now, let’s outline the necessary steps in the correct sequence:

  1. Disconnecting your store from Cropster.
  2. Connecting your store to ShipStation.
  3. Connecting Shipstation with Cropster.

FAQs

If I have two stores, one linked to Shopify and the other to ShipStation, is it possible to use both simultaneously?

Yes, it is possible. We suggest setting up a single store on Shopify that links to Cropster, while creating a different store for your other products to connect with ShipStation. This setup allows you to effectively synchronize products from both stores without receiving orders twice.

What will happen to my products after disconnecting my shop from Cropster?

All external products and bundles will be disconnected, and any associated orders will be archived for future reference.
