Customizing Roast labels

This article explains how to customize Roast labels for your completed roasts.

The following article and its screenshots refer to Roasting Intelligence (RI5). 

In case you previously used Roasting Intelligence (RI4) we kindly invite you to check the newly improved features of RI5. 

To upgrade to RI5, please download Roasting Intelligence (RI5).

By following the steps below you can customize Roast labels:

  1. Open the Roasting Intelligence (RI).
  2. Navigate to gear-png-1 Preferences on the bottom left side of the screen. 
  3. Select the Roasting tab and the Customize Roast label section.

  4. Select the options under Instructions.
    • QR-code: Select the location of the QR-code Top, Bottom, or None.
      The QR code links to the Roast detail page on the online platform (c-sar.cropster.com).
    • Base font size: The font size refers to the headline of each section.
      The roast-specific information will be scaled to the space available.
    • Template: Select the different number of slots available
      • Detailed
      • Card
  5. Drag and drop the information you would like from the options on the left into an open spot on the template. To remove an item from the template, select the X button on the right. Not all template slots need to be used.
    • Items available to add:
      • ID-Tag/Name
      • Date
      • Green lots (ID-Tag/Name)
      • Machine
      • Roast technician
      • Profile
      • Duration
      • Weight (Start / End / Loss)
      • Roast Value 1
      • Roast value 1/2
      • Roast notes
  6. To see how your customized label will look, click Print Preview at the bottom to access the Printing dialog.
  7. From the Printing dialog you can click Preview to see what your template will look like or click Print to print a preview.
  8. If you are connecting your label printer for the first time, select the Printer you are using, and define the Width, Height, and Orientation of your label. 
  9. Click Preview to see what your template will look like or click Print to print a preview and apply changes.
    💡 Any changes made to printing preferences (width, height, etc.) will only be applied after clicking the Print button.
  10. Once done reviewing your template, close the printing dialog by printing a preview or clicking Cancel.
  11. Click Save to apply changes. 

    Some label printers have issues with the margins when printing.
