How to delete the Roasting Intelligence (RI) app cache

Overview

Cache issues can manifest in a broad array of (relatively minor) issues in Cropster Roasting Intelligence (RI) like items not updating as expected, profiles not switching correctly, and the like.

Whenever the root cause is not clear and does not stem from a poor configuration, especially if the issue occurred without any obvious changes being made, it is worth looking at the cache in the logs first and clearing the Roasting Intelligence cache.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the CropsterRoastingIntelligence folder > default > cache
    • Default path - Windows:
      C:\Users\[username]\CropsterRoastingIntelligence\default\cache
    • Default path - MacOS:
      /Users/[username]/CropsterRoastingIntelligence/default/cache
    • Default path - Linux:
      /home/[username]/CropsterRoastingIntelligence/default/cache
  2. Delete the file named cache.json (this is usually the only file in the folder).
  3. Restart Roasting Intelligence (RI).
  4. Check if the issue is still present.

Congratulations! You are now ready to delete the Roasting Intelligence (RI) app cache.
